Primera Reunión del año
Este sábado 9 de enero empezamos con las reuniones de Grupo. Después de un gran campamento de Navidad y las fiestas de fin de año, retomamos con mucha energía e ilusión nuestras actividades de cada Sección Educativa.
Os esperamos a las 11:00 hrs. en el local de reuniones del Grupo, con las mismas ganas de siempre y con el entusiasmo de seguir avanzando en nuestras metas, en nuestros propósitos y convicciones.
Un año nuevo, en el cual nos esperan nuevos desafíos, objetivos que compartir y lograr y sobre todo: el deseo de seguir trabajando juntos.
La reunión es hasta las 13:30 como siempre, no olvidéis el uniforme, la pañoleta, el casquete (los lobatos/as).

2010: Asumimos el Reto
Comienza un nuevo año pero los valores educativos que el Grupo Scout 217 Matterhorn, miembro de Scouts de España, fomenta : contribuir a construir un mundo mejor gracias a la implicación de niños, niñas y jóvenes y adultos scouts, voluntarios y voluntarias;... desde hace cien años no sólo no varían sino que se refuerza ncon los éxitos que entre todos y todas conseguimos.
Pues bien, desde Scouts de España nos proponen trabajar los doce meses del año por una educación en valores y para ello convocarán campañas y actividades con las que promover y apoyar el trabajo que los Grupos Scouts realizamos, para continuar siendo parte activa del cambio educativo y social, que todos buscamos en nuestros entornos.

2010: Asumimos el Reto
Comienza un nuevo año pero los valores educativos que el Grupo Scout 217 Matterhorn, miembro de Scouts de España, fomenta : contribuir a construir un mundo mejor gracias a la implicación de niños, niñas y jóvenes y adultos scouts, voluntarios y voluntarias;... desde hace cien años no sólo no varían sino que se refuerza ncon los éxitos que entre todos y todas conseguimos.

Intercambio GilwellMadrid
El pasado domingo 13 de diciembre, finalizó el Intercambio GilwellMadrid, el cual ha sido un proyecto de jóvenes de nuestro Grupo Scout, junto con chicos y chicas de tres asociaciones de países de Europa (Italia, Rumanía y Turquía). El proyecto, como ya os habíamos contado, ha venido desarrollándose en diferentes etapas, en las cuales se ha buscado favorecer el acercamiento de las diferentes culturas, a la vez que se establecen y fortalecen vínculos de amistad.

Intercambio GilwellMadrid

Our scout group is called Scout Group 217 Matterhorn and its local is placed in Madrid city.
We meet every Saturday morning and we make a two-day camp every month.
In Easter and in Christmas we make a five-days capo and a 20 days-camp every summer. Moreover we do a lot of youth projects with participants from all over the world.

Who we are.
Scout groups are the organizational basis of the scout movement, and are composed of children ages 6 to 21 years of age with their educators.
Each of these groups Scouts plan, develop and evaluate our own programs-Projects-activities independently (dynamic, games, camping, nature routes, camps, etc..), Setting their objectives as the reality of the environment.
Same time, we are divided internally into sections according to the age and Educational development of youngsters, which lets to apply an educational methodology adapted to the physical, moral, social, intellectual and emotional development of its members.
Scouting in the world
There are more than 28 million scouts in almost all the countries of the world. The all follow the same ideals and objectives. To sum it up in one sentence scouts: “try to leave the world better than they found it”.
Our fundator was Banden Powell, a British General, he founded the scout movement in 1907 and since then the scout movement has spreaded all over the world.
Our ideals
We believe that education is everything and so we work for a better, more just and united world, where the care of the environment, respect for human rights and understanding between individuals and people is a reality.
To achieve this mission we consider essential:
• Educating in freedom, justice, solidarity and personal responsibility and community in the context of coexistence, respect and service.
• Promoting those spiritual values inherent in the individual, to help overcome the individualism and materialism, and encourages the growth of his personality.
• Awakening critical and participatory sense, respecting personal liberty and promoting healthy lifestyles, which allows to analyze of the ideologies and the options that society offers you to make a choice later in life.
